Decatur Paddle Battle Set to Serve Up Pickleball Action and Community Fun

Tournament Operations by Southern Pickleball
Madison, Alabama — April 16, 2025 – Pickleball passion is about to ignite at the inaugural Decatur Paddle Battle, proudly sponsored by the Decatur Daybreak Rotary Club and professionally run by Southern Pickleball. This exciting community tournament will bring together players of all ages and skill levels for a weekend of fierce competition, family-friendly fun, and high-energy vibes.
The action goes down at the Town Madison Pickleball Courts (190 Graphics Drive, Madison, AL) on June 7 and 8, 2025. The Decatur Paddle Battle features a full slate of doubles matches across five skill levels (2.5 to 4.5) and age brackets from 5 to 60+, ensuring fair and fun matchups for beginners and seasoned players alike.
Age brackets include:

• 5–29
• 30–39
• 40–49
• 50–59
• 60+

Whether you're a weekend warrior or just learning the ropes, there’s a court waiting for you.
“We’re thrilled to host the Decatur Paddle Battle and celebrate the fast-growing sport of pickleball in a way that’s fun, inclusive, and community-driven,” said Ed Carr, Tournament Organizer. “This event is all about camaraderie, competition, and showcasing the amazing pickleball talent we have right here in the Tennessee Valley and beyond.”
This charity tournament will benefit the local and international projects of the Decatur Daybreak Rotary Club, including clean water initiatives, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA), and support for numerous local non-profits. By participating, players and spectators will help make a tangible difference in the community and beyond.

• Five skill divisions (2.5 to 4.5)
• Age brackets from 5 to 60+
